Thomas Alexander Kolbeは、2026年7月17日に新作シングル「Alive」をリリースする。

本作は、静かな持続性の中で展開していく。冒頭から広がりのある開かれた空間が立ち上がり、音は前へ押し出されるのではなく、その中にゆっくりと定着していく。リズムは徐々に輪郭を帯び、あたかも最初からそこにあったかのように感じられる。

「Alive」は明確なジェスチャーを避けている。急激な展開や唐突な変化はない。ひとつの状態を保ちながら、小さな変化が時間とともに積み重なっていく。各要素は自己主張することなく現れ、また静かに引いていく。

ヴォーカルは音楽に密着している。前に出ることも、分離することもない。同じ流れの中で動き、連続する運動の一部として機能している。

楽曲が進むにつれて緊張感は高まるが、一般的な意味で解放されることはない。中心となるセクションが開いても、それは何かを解決するのではなく、むしろ空間をさらに広げていく。その結果、すべては存在と距離のあいだに保たれる。

一瞬の抑制が流れを中断し、その後わずかに重みを増した状態でトラックは戻ってくる。その変化は控えめだが、その後の展開の知覚に確かな影響を与える。

「Alive」はインパクトを志向していない。一定の強度を保ち、リスナーがその内部にとどまることを可能にする。

本作はダンスフロアでも機能するが、それに依存することはない。対比ではなく、持続によって成立している。
